Hello everyone! I’m Carrie, Welcome to my blog. I’m an elementary school teacher. This is my twenty-second year teaching. I’ve had various jobs before becoming a teacher. I consider myself as fairly shy and I’ve probably lived more than half my life by now. At this point in life I would like to make a positive impact on this world, whether it be large or small. I’m trying to improve my life along with the people that I come into contact with. I think things happen for a reason and the way they are supposed to be. There are no coincidences — everything happens for a reason — to teach us life lessons.

I’m from a large family in Louisiana. Was married and had two children. My daughter passed away a month after her seventh birthday from a rare brain cancer. She was so outgoing and would start a conversation with anyone. She loved everyone and every animal she came across. She lived her short life with courage, strength and faith like I have never seen. My daughter left a positive impact on everyone she met. I remember wanting to be just like her. Losing a child is very difficult and hard on the family. A year and a half later my marriage ended in divorce. I love my son with all my heart. He is now married and has a wonderful life.

The one constant in my life has been Faith, Hope of Love. And with that, I’m here trying to live a good life along with everyone else on the planet! Some of my favorite things are reading, watching movies, kayaking, anything on or by the water, walking, having dinner with family and friends and traveling. Oh, and pets! I’m wanting a puppy now but want to wait a few months.
